Alipay's official Weibo account released a security alert about Apple phones early this morning (10.10), saying that it detected that some Apple user IDs were stolen, resulting in financial losses to payment tools bound to the IDs. Alipay has contacted Apple several times and urged it to locate the cause of the theft as soon as possible, improve security precautions, and completely resolve the issue of user rights loss. Apple responded that it is actively resolving the issue, and Alipay recommends that Apple users lower the amount of password-free payment to maximize asset security. According to media reports, recently, Apple mobile phone users across the country have frequently complained that their Apple IDs have been stolen and the corresponding payment platforms bound to them have been used to deduct money. The highest loss has reached tens of thousands of yuan, but Apple China has said that it cannot process the refund appeals filed by users whose accounts have been stolen. Alipay said that before Apple has completely solved this problem, no matter which payment method your Apple ID is bound to (including Alipay, WeChat Pay or credit card), there may be a risk of financial loss. On the premise of ensuring convenience, you can choose to lower the password-free payment limit of Apple Pay to maximize the security of your account funds. Alipay users can set a password-free payment limit for their Apple ID separately. Enter the Alipay app, click [My] - [Settings] - [Payment Settings] - [Password-free payment/automatic deduction] - [App Store, Apple Music & iCloud] - [Security Monthly Limit] to set a monthly limit that meets your security expectations. Apple has not yet made clear user reminders about this. If you are worried about abnormalities in your payment account, you can also choose to temporarily disable the password-free payment/automatic deduction items related to Apple ID. |
