On April 8, at the 4th China Electronic Information Expo co-hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government, the Asian Intelligent Robot Alliance was officially established. The alliance aims to provide a communication and cooperation platform for the integrated development of the field of intelligent robots in Asia. Huai Jinpeng, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said at a relevant meeting that my country attaches great importance to the innovation and industrialization of cutting-edge emerging fields such as robots. At present, the number of industrial robots in China accounts for a quarter of the world. Asia is the world's highland for the development of robotics technology and the world's most important robotics market. According to the International Federation of Robotics, Asia's robot sales will grow by an average of 16% annually from 2015 to 2017, and Asia's industrial robot sales account for about two-thirds of global sales. China, South Korea, Japan, Israel and other countries are all regions with active development in robotics technology, industry, standards and markets. In order to promote Asian countries to jointly explore and study the development status and trends of regional robots and effectively strengthen the innovation exchange and industrial cooperation of robotics technology, the Asian Intelligent Robot Alliance was jointly initiated by the China Electronics Society, Shenzhen Intelligent Robot Research Institute, Korean Robotics Society, Korean Robotics Association and Israel Robotics Association. Vice Minister Huai Jinpeng said at the founding conference of the Asian Intelligent Robot Alliance that the research, development and industrialization of intelligent robots have received widespread attention from governments of various countries. According to statistics, the global intelligent robot market size was approximately US$27 billion in 2015 and is expected to reach approximately US$67 billion in 10 years. Whether it is the construction of digital workshops and digital factories in the manufacturing industry, or the development of logistics, medical care and many other fields, intelligent robots will have broad space. "In China, the robotics industry is not only driven by a strong market, but also has a reserve of technology and talent. Many of our companies have come to the fore and started to create new products and new technologies." Deputy Minister Huai Jinpeng stressed that the "13th Five-Year Plan" development plan just released by my country has made it an important part to vigorously promote innovation and industrialization in emerging frontier fields such as robotics. The implementation of "Made in China 2025" and "Internet +" will provide important support for the industrial development, technological progress and talent training of robots. Data show that the scale of China's robotics market has achieved an average annual growth rate of 36% in the past five years, of which the number of industrial robots has accounted for a quarter of the world. According to the "13th Five-Year Plan" development plan for the robotics industry, the annual sales volume of industrial robots in China will reach 150,000 units in five years, and the output value of China's robotics industry will exceed 100 billion yuan. By 2025, the annual sales volume of industrial robots will reach 260,000 units, and the number of units will exceed 1.8 million. At the same time, with the continuous improvement of people's quality of life, robots will also have more new development space in life and new application services for medical and information. |
