BYD launches new pure electric car e3, which may be launched in 2017

Recently, media reported that BYD's new energy vehicle model "e3" appeared on the website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The new car is expected to be a pure electric vehicle, and the price after enjoying national and local subsidies is likely to be between 80,000 and 120,000 yuan.

The BYD e3 will be positioned lower than the current e5 and e6 models, and will use a pure electric drive system, with a range of 250 kilometers. BYD has not yet announced the specific design and parameters of the e3 model, and it is unknown whether it will improve on the existing models.

BYD's new energy products generally have a range of 300 kilometers or even higher, which is a major advantage. However, compared with other Chinese brands of pure electric vehicles, there is indeed a lack of an entry-level small car with a range of about 250 kilometers. From this, it is speculated that this e3 may be a small car.
