Tesla Model 3 deliveries begin this month

In the early morning of July 3rd local time, Tesla CEO Elon Musk posted three messages on Twitter, excitedly announcing that the mass production of Model 3 had passed relevant regulatory requirements two weeks ahead of schedule, and the first Model 3 is expected to roll off the production line this Friday.

Musk pointed out in a tweet that a delivery ceremony will be held for the first 30 consumers on July 28. The production capacity of Model 3 will increase exponentially, and it is expected that the production will rise to 100 vehicles in August, 1,500 vehicles in September, and 20,000 vehicles in December. Previously, Tesla said that by 2018, the weekly production of Model 3 will reach 10,000 vehicles.

Last year, when Tesla Model 3 was first unveiled, Musk said he was "very confident" that deliveries would begin by the end of 2017, adding that "at $35,000, you won't get a better car." Compared to Tesla's first two models, Model 3 is the cheapest and will play an important role in Tesla's goal of producing 500,000 vehicles.
