Want to lower house prices? It might be a good idea to teach cars to drive themselves

Who would have thought that the group of people who were hit hard by not being able to get into a good school during their student days, when they finally found a job, would be crushed by the high housing prices.

Apart from constantly working hard to earn more money, is there no way to lower house prices a little?

Maybe there really is.

Recently, a research report released by a real estate analyst from San Diego, USA, showed that driverless technology is not only the future development direction of automobiles, but also after helping drivers free their hands, reducing traffic accidents and improving urban traffic congestion, the popularization of driverless cars can also have a positive impact on lowering housing prices, and the reduction will be 20% to 25%.

The report points out that parking spaces and parking facilities account for an increasingly higher proportion of the current housing purchase and sale costs, which in turn indirectly raises the selling price of houses.

With the advent of driverless cars, real estate developers will hopefully no longer have to build dedicated parking spaces next to houses, reducing house construction costs and leading to lower housing prices.

Of course, using driverless cars to influence housing prices is definitely a very forward-looking idea. However, the basis for its realization also requires that driverless cars become popular enough and the concept of private cars changes in the eyes of ordinary people.

Previously, technology market research company Strategy Analytics released a forecast report stating that by 2050, half of the cars sold worldwide will be driverless cars. According to this logic, housing prices in 2050 have the opportunity to be 1/4 cheaper than they are now.

However, this does not seem to take into account the speed of currency depreciation. Moreover, if it takes more than 30 years, isn’t this a bit too long?
