Tesla starts selling insurance: free replacement of new cars in the first year

Tesla, a car manufacturer, has started selling insurance. Foreign media reported that it is cooperating with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company of the United States to provide auto insurance plans specifically for its American electric vehicles.

It is worth mentioning that the insurance company AAA previously raised the insurance premiums for Tesla cars in some markets, citing the high frequency and cost of Tesla car accidents.

Tesla CEO Musk refuted this, saying that the average insurance cost of Model S or Model X is about 5% lower than other luxury cars.

"If Tesla owners' insurance premiums go up, that's easy to fix," Musk said. "Change insurance company."
