Recently, Jiang Wangcheng, president of Huawei's Internet of Things Solutions, shared Huawei's layout in the automotive field. He emphasized that Huawei will not build cars, but will increase investment in the automotive industry in three aspects: intelligent networking, transportation, and personalized services.

In terms of intelligent networking, Jiang Wangcheng said that this is closely related to communications, including algorithms, AI, etc., and this is exactly where Huawei's advantages lie, which will help car companies introduce the brain for autonomous driving, that is, the supercomputing platform. Huawei's mobile phone ecosystem will also extend to the automotive field and cooperate with car companies. Now Huawei's mobile phone voice interaction has been realized, and HiLink with the family can achieve the integration of people, cars, and homes. For example, when you are watching a TV series at home, you can continue to play it on the rear screen in the car.

In terms of transportation, Jiang Wangcheng mentioned that the coordination of people, vehicles and roads can make the entire intelligent transportation take a big leap forward, and quoted the analysis data of the US SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers), saying that more than 90% of traffic accidents can be avoided through the combination of automobile ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) and vehicle-road collaboration, which requires the implementation of V2X solutions.

V2X is the connection between cars and everything else, including cars to people, cars to cars, and cars to infrastructure. However, Jiang Wangcheng believes that what is really valuable is not the car-centric access to various facilities on other roads, but the information provided by various roadside infrastructure and pedestrians to the car, and the ability to push various roadside information and traffic control information to the car.
