NIO will be officially listed on the New York Stock Exchange on the evening of September 12, Beijing time. According to foreign media reports, its initial public offering price is set at US$6.25, which is at the lower end of the previously announced offering price range of US$6.25-8.25. Based on this offering price, NIO's valuation is approximately US$6.4 billion. NIO will thus become the first Chinese electric vehicle company to be listed in the United States. According to the prospectus submitted previously, the underwriters of NIO's IPO are Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank, Citigroup, Credit Suisse, UBS and Wolff Capital Markets & Consulting. Among NIO's shares, NIO founder Li Bin holds 17.2%, Tencent holds 15.2%, Hillhouse Capital holds 7.5%, NIO North America CEO Padmasree Warrior holds 1.4%, and CHJ Automotive founder Li Xiang holds 1.7%. Weilai's shares are divided into three categories of common stock: A, B, and C. Each Class A common stock corresponds to 1 vote, Class B has 4 votes per share, and Class C has 8 votes per share. Among them, Li Bin and his affiliated companies will actually own all issued Class C shares. In the first half of this year, NIO's revenue was US$6.951 million (approximately RMB 46 million), of which US$6.71 million (approximately RMB 44.4 million) came from car sales. NIO also further revealed the production capacity and delivery status of ES8 in its latest prospectus. As of August 28, NIO ES8 delivered 900 units in August. Combined with the deliveries of 100 units in June and 381 units in July, NIO has currently delivered a total of 1,381 ES8s. NIO still has 15,761 reservations to be delivered, of which 6,264 users have paid a non-refundable deposit of 45,000 yuan, and another 9,497 users have paid an initial deposit of 5,000 yuan.
