The future has arrived: Haier kitchen appliances enter the era of IoT intelligent collaboration

In recent years, with the continuous increase in family income, not only has the consumer's demand for quality of life continued to increase, but kitchen appliances have also become the next outlet after the living room economy.

According to data, the sales volume of China's kitchen appliance market reached 47.1 billion yuan in the first half of 2017, a year-on-year increase of 14.9%, far better than the overall performance of the home appliance market.

While the kitchen appliance market is performing well, it is also due to the continuous improvement of people's quality of life. Various Western restaurants and bakeries are growing wildly in cities like mushrooms after rain, attracting a large number of consumers. This also makes Chinese home appliance companies realize that the Internet of Things kitchen appliance strategy, as the only way to promote the globalization of cooking, may become the future development direction of the kitchen appliance market.

This coincides with the 2017 China International Consumer Electronics Expo, which was held in Qingdao, Shandong on the 22nd.

At the conference, Haier Kitchen Appliances, as a leading company in the kitchen appliance industry, took the theme of "IoT Kitchen Appliance Community Wins the World" and showcased the world's only IoT kitchen appliance, as well as multiple high-end kitchen appliance sets from Haier, GEA, and Casarte brands, attempting to bring more high-end kitchen appliance solutions to users from different regions and classes.

Kitchen appliances become a market trend, IoT sets ignite kitchen economy

Judging from the development trend of the kitchen appliance industry, "big kitchen appliances" may be the future development direction of the kitchen appliance industry.

Take the current status of kitchen appliances in Europe and the United States as an example. In today's US market, stoves and ovens have become the mainstream choice for 89% of households, while the remaining 11% are mostly multi-burner stoves or built-in ovens. Even in the Western European market, which has a long history of kitchen appliances, multi-burner stoves and built-in ovens are still the first choice of local households.

Moreover, according to the data of China's kitchen appliance market from January to July 2017, Haier's kitchen appliance sales increased by 52%, making it the fastest growing company in the kitchen appliance industry. Among them, not only the growth rate of high-end built-in disinfection cabinets reached 90%, but also the growth rate of high-end built-in ovens reached 99%.

From this point of view, the concept of high-end integrated kitchen has become an irreversible trend.

Under such circumstances, Haier chose to launch the world's first complete set of IoT kitchen appliance solutions through this Electric Expo, which may point out a new development path for China's kitchen appliance industry.

Take the IoT kitchen scenario as an example. Data transmission between multiple products such as range hoods and stoves can be realized. For example, after the user selects the corresponding recipe on the range hood, the oven can start the corresponding cooking mode according to the recipe. And before the cooking is finished, the disinfection cabinet will automatically turn on the plate warming function, realizing the true sense of "interconnection".

Haier has laid out a comprehensive industrial chain and pointed out the direction of industry development

It is also worth mentioning that in addition to the world's first IoT kitchen appliance product set, Haier Kitchen Appliances has also benefited from the in-depth layout of the entire industrial chain including manufacturing, services, and R&D in recent years, which further promoted this large kitchen appliance strategy.

On the one hand, after Haier integrated the world's well-known kitchen appliance brands, it created a global sharing platform that "integrates the strengths of many brands". At present, Haier has 10 major R&D centers around the world, which allows Haier to fully call on the unique technologies of other countries to meet the differentiated needs of different groups of people for kitchen appliances.

Take GE, a home appliance brand with a 138-year history, as an example. At the China International Consumer Electronics Expo, Haier Kitchen Appliances specially exhibited GEA's Monrome series.

On this purely imported four-burner induction cooker, precise sliding touch technology has become a highlight of the product. When the user operates the four sliding touch controllers below, the temperature can be easily and accurately controlled. The professional and advanced cooking temperature sensor probe can achieve precise temperature control with a temperature difference of less than 1°C, proving to the world Haier's extraordinary strength as a leader in the world's kitchen appliance industry.

In addition, Haier Kitchen Appliances also exhibited a GE 142L ultra-large cavity imported French door oven at the conference. As the world's largest household oven, it not only heats more than three times faster than ordinary ovens, but also bakes delicious dishes comparable to those in professional ovens.

Of course, in addition to new products, the interconnected kitchen appliance factories established around the world through the home appliance cluster are equally important to Haier.

On September 16, the world's first smart kitchen interconnection factory was officially established and put into production in Haier Industrial Park in Qingdao West Coast New Area. For Haier, this not only means the organic integration of efficiency, quality and logistics distribution, but also completely releases the production capacity of Haier large kitchen appliances, driving the rapid growth of Haier kitchen appliances in the global field.

It is reported that today, after the official completion of the smart kitchen interconnected factory, Haier Kitchen Appliances has produced more than 300 models of products through the brand resources of the world's top five kitchen appliances, covering a variety of kitchen appliances such as range hoods, gas stoves, ovens, etc., which can fully meet the users' exclusive personalized customization needs.

It can be said that Haier Kitchen Appliances has discovered the market prospects of IoT kitchen appliances with its unique strategic vision and has steadily made careful arrangements in this market. From a certain perspective, Haier has not only confirmed the foresight and correctness of the IoT kitchen appliance strategy, but also provided a successful example for the kitchen appliance industry.
