Analysts predict Q2 iPhone sales may disappoint

According to foreign media reports, Jun Zhang, an analyst at Rosenblatt Securities, said in an investment memo on Tuesday that iPhone sales will continue to show a weak trend in the second quarter of fiscal 2016, and iPhone sales will continue to decline. A previous supply chain report also showed that iPhone production is still declining further, and Apple will not produce enough iPhone SE to offset the impact of the decline in iPhone 6s/6s Plus sales.

In addition, UBS analyst Steve Milunovich believes that the reduction in the number of orders from Apple suppliers including TSMC also indicates a decline in iPhone sales. Milunovich pointed out that although UBS expects iPhone sales to reach 48 million in the second fiscal quarter, the company's expectations may be too high.

Milunovich still gives Apple stock a "buy" rating, with a target price of $120. In addition, analysts believe that Apple's second-quarter revenue will reach $49.5 billion.
