Tesla delivered 6,244 cars in the UK in Q3, exceeding the total for the whole of 2018

Recently, Tesla announced its third-quarter sales data in the UK, with a total delivery of 6,244 vehicles, including 5,385 Model 3. This figure exceeds Tesla's full-year deliveries in the UK in 2018.

In terms of details, Tesla first launched Model 3 in the UK in May and began official deliveries the following month. In the initial month, Tesla's sales in the UK grew slowly, but starting in August, Tesla's production capacity began to expand gradually. In August alone, Tesla delivered more than 2,000 Model 3s.

By September, Tesla had delivered a total of 3,459 vehicles in the UK, including 2,864 Model 3. Tesla's progress also contributed to the prosperity of the UK's electric vehicle market. Data showed that in September, the share of electric vehicles in the UK's overall car market increased to 2.2%.

It is worth noting that Tesla's booming sales are inseparable from the UK's subsidies. After receiving a subsidy of 3,500 pounds, the starting price of Model 3 is only 39,000 pounds, which helps consumers enjoy Model 3 at a low price.
