Recently, a netizen uploaded a video of a Tesla Model 3 emitting thick smoke in the emergency lane of a highway. In the video, firefighters were using water guns to cool down the vehicle and put out the fire.

The video is from the perspective of another moving car. From the video, it can be seen that the people in the Model 3 have been evacuated. It is not clear whether there are any casualties.

In response to this incident, a user on Weibo who is certified as "Tesla Customer Support" of Tesla Motors (Beijing) Co., Ltd. said in a video comment that the accident was caused by the vehicle colliding with a metal angle iron-like foreign object on the road while driving at high speed, causing serious damage to the chassis and battery, which led to the vehicle catching fire.

At present, only Tesla has spoken out about the accident. The owner has not come forward yet, and the fire department has not yet given a result of the accident. We will continue to pay attention to the follow-up of this incident.

It must be mentioned that in addition to this high-speed fire incident, Tesla recently had another vehicle accident resulting in a loss of control, which has been widely questioned.

A netizen uploaded a video showing that at around 23:00 on August 12, a Tesla Model 3 hit a parking lot barrier at high speed, collided with other vehicles in the parking lot and overturned.

The accident caused serious injuries to the driver, Mr. Chen. After 7 hours of rescue and nearly 5000cc of blood transfusion, he was out of danger.

According to Mr. Chen, the cause of the accident was that the Model 3 vehicle suddenly accelerated without turning on automatic driving, and the brakes suddenly failed, causing it to hit the interception pole and rush into the parking lot.

Tesla said it has launched an investigation into the accident, but has not yet provided specific details.
