Xpeng Motors updates its prospectus with a valuation of approximately US$8.6 billion

As new energy vehicles become increasingly popular, new domestic car manufacturers have also begun to go public. For example, NIO and Li Auto have both been listed on the U.S. stock market.

Recently, Xpeng Motors, which has been seeking to be listed on the U.S. stock market, updated its prospectus. The share price range is between US$11 and US$13. Calculated based on the average price, Xpeng Motors' valuation is approximately US$8.6 billion.

Public data shows that Xpeng Motors was founded in 2014 and completed a 2.2 billion yuan Series A financing in 2017. At the end of that year, it officially started delivery. In July 2020, Xpeng Motors delivered 2,451 vehicles. Although this number is still lower than Tesla, it is still one of the best among the new forces in domestic car manufacturing.

Perhaps due to its early listing, NIO's current share price has reached US$16.725 billion, and Ideal's market value is also US$12.700 billion, both of which are one level higher than Xpeng Motors.

Considering that driven by Tesla, the overall capital market is very optimistic about new car-making forces, it is believed that as Xpeng Motors' delivery gets on track, the capital market will inevitably give Xpeng Motors a strong boost.
