Chery and Haier jointly build the automotive industrial Internet and create an international "double-cross" platform

Chery Holding Co., Ltd. and Haier Group have signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement. The two parties will jointly build a world-leading automotive industrial Internet platform in the fields of automotive "lighthouse factories", smart industrial parks, digital supply chains and digital procurement, carry out all-round cooperation, and create a new cooperation model in the era of smart cars.

The "Lighthouse Factory" project was initiated by the World Economic Forum. It aims to select leading companies that have achieved remarkable results in the integration of cutting-edge technologies in the Fourth Industrial Revolution and are at the forefront of the world in the large-scale adoption of new technologies from more than 1,000 factories around the world. It is known as the guiding light of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Haier is the first Chinese company to be selected as one of the first batch of "Lighthouse Factories" in the world, and the only company to contribute two Lighthouse Factories in the same country.

In fact, as one of the earliest companies in China to explore the industrial Internet, Haier Group has long since gotten rid of the label of a traditional home appliance manufacturer. By creating an industrial Internet platform with China's independent intellectual property rights and the first in the world to introduce users to the full process participation experience - Caos, it has successfully transformed into an ecological brand leading the era of the Internet of Things.

It is reported that Haier's KAAS industrial Internet platform has nurtured 15 industry ecosystems including chemicals, building materials, and molds. It has established 7 major centers across the country, covering 12 major regions across the country, and has been replicated and promoted in 20 countries.

Haier Group's business scale has also been further expanded. At the end of March this year, Haier officially announced its "cross-border" entry into the automotive industry through cooperation with SAIC, and then signed a cooperation agreement with Chery to help the transformation and upgrading of traditional manufacturing.

Yin Tongyue, Party Secretary and Chairman of Chery Holding Group, said that Haier's successful transformation experience is worth learning. Chery hopes to build an internationally leading industrial Internet platform, education base and lighthouse factory platform in Anhui through all-round cooperation with Haier, which will not only help Chery's digital transformation, but also serve and drive the development of Anhui's small and medium-sized enterprises.

In this cooperation, both parties will leverage Haier Coaos' leading advantages in building industrial Internet platforms and combine Chery Holding Group's accumulated experience in processes, systems, standards, etc. in the automotive industry to jointly leverage their respective advantages and accelerate Chery's thorough transformation toward smart cars.

Chery’s specific plan is to comprehensively deploy the “new four modernizations” technologies, while taking the Intelligent Connected Super Factory as the core, drive Chery’s comprehensive digital transformation and establish an enterprise-level platform; secondly, achieve rapid regional coverage, fully empower the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises, and build a cross-regional industry platform; finally, guided by the domestic and international dual circulation, extend to overseas markets and build an international “dual-cross” platform.

As a winner of Toutiao's Qingyun Plan and Baijiahao's Bai+ Plan, the 2019 Baidu Digital Author of the Year, the Baijiahao's Most Popular Author in the Technology Field, the 2019 Sogou Technology and Culture Author, and the 2021 Baijiahao Quarterly Influential Creator, he has won many awards, including the 2013 Sohu Best Industry Media Person, the 2015 China New Media Entrepreneurship Competition Beijing Third Place, the 2015 Guangmang Experience Award, the 2015 China New Media Entrepreneurship Competition Finals Third Place, and the 2018 Baidu Dynamic Annual Powerful Celebrity.
