Recently, some media found that in order to increase sales and clear inventory, FAW Toyota recently launched an employee internal purchase activity, with discounts of varying degrees for all models. Among them, the Avalon and RAV4 Rongfang have the highest discounts, reaching 40,000 yuan. This means that, for example, the Avalon 2.0L Progressive Edition, which has an official guide price of 199,800 yuan, has an employee internal purchase price of only 159,900 yuan, equivalent to a 20% discount.

The Volkswagen Sagitar 280TSI Beyond Plus, which is also owned by FAW Group, has a guide price of 169,900 yuan, 10,000 yuan more expensive than the Avalon. The same situation also occurs with the RAV4 Rongfang, whose employee purchase price is as low as 143,100 yuan, which is cheaper than the Volkswagen Tiguan L of the same level.

It is understood that this employee internal purchase activity is for formal employees of FAW Group, and the employee activity price is the bare car price, which does not include purchase tax, insurance, installment interest and other expenses. Moreover, the models involved in this activity should all be 2022 models or earlier, and their inventory time is about half a year. Obviously, this is a measure taken by FAW Toyota to speed up the clearance of inventory.

So, why does FAW Toyota have so much inventory?

In recent years, domestic brands and new car manufacturers have made great progress in product strength, technological innovation, marketing model, etc., and have certain advantages in price. These factors have affected FAW Toyota's market share and profit margin.

FAW Toyota launched the employee internal purchase activity to cope with the complex situation of the current automobile market, digest the inventory as soon as possible, and prepare for the development of the new year. However, this may also mean that fuel vehicles have reached their last struggle.
