JD Power: 2022 China New Energy Vehicle Customer Experience Value Index

Well-known research organization JD Power officially released the 2022 China New Energy Vehicle Customer Experience Value ResearchSM (NEV-CXVI). The research shows that the overall score of China's new energy vehicle customer experience value index in 2022 is 796 points, and independent new power brands scored 806 points, leading the industry. Among them, Ideal ranked first among Chinese brands, and BMW ranked first among international brands .

Specifically, Ideal Auto scored 816 points, ranking first; Xpeng scored 815 points, ranking second; the third and fourth places were both from Geely, namely Geometry and Zeekr; GAC Aion ranked fifth; and the sixth place was NIO, which is famous for its service, with a total score of 807.

In the international automobile rankings, BMW ranks first, Mercedes-Benz ranks second, SAIC Volkswagen ranks third, and Tesla ranks fourth .

The New Energy Vehicle Customer Experience Value Study (NEV-CXVI) was launched for the first time this year. The study uses the Customer Experience Value Index (CXVI) to measure the full journey experience of new energy vehicle owners with a vehicle ownership period of 2-12 months.

The study also released the New Energy Vehicle Customer Experience Value Index (1,000 points), which is based on the evaluation of various measurement indicators of different customer groups in the three experience stages of car purchase, car use and service.

The results show that among the manufacturers, the customer experience value index of independent new forces is 806 points, 10 points higher than the industry average , and they are in a leading position in car purchase, use and service; international brands follow closely with 802 points; but traditional independent brands are slightly lower than the industry average with 792 points.

Among them, the leading advantage of independent new forces is most obvious in service experience (809 points), 16 points higher than international brands and 23 points higher than traditional independent brands.

In the car owner's full journey experience, the experience in the car-using stage (806 points) is the peak experience of the customer's entire journey, while the experience index score in the car-purchasing stage is only 788 points , ranking last among the three experience stages, and there is much room for improvement.
