Infrastructure operation status

1. Operation of public charging infrastructure: In October 2022, the number of public charging piles increased by 44,000 compared with September, a year-on-year increase of 58.1%. As of October 2022, the member units of the alliance reported a total of 1.68 million public charging piles, including 710,000 DC charging piles and 970,000 AC charging piles. From November 2021 to October 2022, the average monthly increase in public charging piles was about 51,000.

2. The operation of public charging infrastructure in provinces, regions and cities. The public charging piles built in the top 10 regions of Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Beijing, Hubei, Shandong, Anhui, Henan and Fujian account for 71.6%. The national charging power is mainly concentrated in Guangdong, Jiangsu, Sichuan, Hebei, Zhejiang, Fujian, Shanghai, Shaanxi, Hunan, Beijing and other provinces. The power flow is mainly to buses and passenger cars, and other types of vehicles such as sanitation logistics vehicles and taxis account for a small proportion. In October 2022, the total charging power in the country was about 2.06 billion kWh, a decrease of 130 million kWh from the previous month, a year-on-year increase of 103.3% and a month-on-month decrease of 6.0%.

3. Operation of public charging infrastructure operators. As of October 2022, the top 15 charging piles operated by charging operators nationwide are: Teladian operates 324,000 units, Xingxing Charging operates 321,000 units, Yunkuai Charging operates 229,000 units, State Grid operates 196,000 units, Xiaoju Charging operates 89,000 units, Weijingyun operates 66,000 units, Shenzhen Car Power Network operates 65,000 units, China Southern Power Grid operates 61,000 units, Wancheng Wanchong operates 47,000 units, Hui Charging operates 42,000 units, Yiwi Energy operates 40,000 units, Wanma Ai Charging operates 27,000 units, SAIC Anyue operates 24,000 units, China Putian operates 22,000 units, and Weilan Fast Charging operates 18,000 units. These 15 operators account for 93.5% of the total, and the remaining operators account for 6.5% of the total.

4. Overall operation of charging infrastructure. From January to October 2022, the increase in charging infrastructure was 2.091 million units, of which the increase in public charging piles increased by 109.0% year-on-year, and the increase in private charging piles installed on vehicles continued to rise, up 391.4% year-on-year. As of October 2022, the cumulative number of charging infrastructure nationwide was 4.708 million units, an increase of 109.0% year-on-year.

5. Comparison between charging infrastructure and electric vehicles. From January to October 2022, the increase in charging infrastructure was 2.091 million units, and the sales volume of new energy vehicles was 5.280 million units. The charging infrastructure and new energy vehicles continued to grow explosively. The increase ratio of charging piles to vehicles was 1:2.5. The construction of charging infrastructure can basically meet the rapid development of new energy vehicles.
