Details of Huawei's new flagship processor: We have the will to kill the enemy but we are powerless to save the situation
Earlier this month, Huawei held a press conference in France and officially released its new flagship product P7. The phone is equipped with a 5-inch 1080p display, a HiSilicon Kirin 910T quad-core 1.8GHz processor, 2GB of built-in memory and 16GB of internal storage space, supports micro SD card expansion, provides an 8-megapixel front camera and a 13-megapixel rear camera, and runs the Emotion UI 2.3 interface based on Android 4.4. Judging from yesterday's battery life test, this HiSilicon K910T processor has indeed made great contributions, effectively controlling power consumption and preventing the processor from becoming a burden on the battery. In the end, the test results of P7 are satisfactory. However, the news exposed by Weibo user @ioncannon today has greatly reduced people's good impression of this processor. According to @ioncannon, HiSilicon Kirin 910T is a relatively balanced processor that pays attention to energy efficiency. The 1.8GHz A9 architecture is actually enough, but Huawei's own Emotion UI is very disappointing. No matter what mode is turned on, it generally enables you to use up to 3 cores at most. Therefore, the APK updated in the background will be stuck when the foreground is under heavy load. It will not be available when needed for a short time, and the fourth core will be opened for you only when the load is high for a long time to achieve the purpose of saving power, which greatly affects the performance of K910T. To describe it in the simplest terms, it is willing to kill the thief, but unable to save the situation. Then @ioncannon gave relevant information about HiSilicon Kirin 920 (K3V3). He said that this is an octa-core processor with four Cortex-A15 architecture cores and four Cortex-A7 architecture cores built in, with a main frequency of 1.8GHz/1.3GHz respectively, which can realize full opening of eight cores, and the GPU model is Mali-T628MP4, with a main frequency of 600MHz.
