The "funny" vulnerability found in MediaTek mobile phones is so speechless!

According to foreign media Androidauthority, a French blogger named Korben recently discovered such a vulnerability: as long as a text message with an "=" symbol (without quotation marks) is sent, some smartphones using MediaTek chips can be shut down and restarted. It sounds a bit funny, but it is true. Korben also made a special video to demonstrate it. Korben found that even if the phone is flashed with other ROMs, the vulnerability still exists, indicating that the vulnerability has little to do with the system and is likely the result of the interaction between software and hardware. It is reported that there are not many devices affected by this vulnerability, only a small number of phones on the MediaTek platform. The solution to this vulnerability is to install a third-party SMS application and disable the native SMS application at the same time to avoid the problem. At present, there is no complete list of affected devices, but Wiko and Alcatel are the two brands with the greatest risk. There has been no similar news about domestic MediaTek phones, so you might as well try it.
