Telecom denies rumors of withdrawal from Yixin: only holds shares and does not interfere with operations

In response to recent rumors that "China Telecom will withdraw from YiXin", relevant people within China Telecom clearly stated that "I have not heard of it, and there is no possibility", "Not only will they not withdraw, but they will continue to increase their support." YiXin is an instant messaging software jointly developed by NetEase and China Telecom, which can chat for free. It is rumored that "Yixin's major shareholder China Telecom is completely withdrawing from YiXin's daily operations. YiXin's former CEO Zhang Zheng and Deputy General Manager (from the former head of China Telecom's Wing Chat team) Gao Zhimin have resigned, leaving the minority shareholder NetEase alone." In this regard, relevant people within China Telecom said that "this is completely ignorant of YiXin's operations." It is reported that in order to support "de-telecomization", although China Telecom holds 80% of YiXin's shares, it has always supported YiXin's operations mainly by a team sent by NetEase.
