QQ account hacked, 7.09 million yuan lost

On May 4 this year, a company in Duanzhou, Zhaoqing received a call from its business partner, a company in Dongguan, urging them to pay back the money. Kang, the purchasing manager, was very confused: 7.09 million yuan of business money had been remitted at the end of April, so what happened?

Kang told the police that on April 28, he received a message from a partner company in Dongguan on his QQ, saying that the company account had changed to another account name, and a letter of proof was attached with the company's seal on the lower right corner.

Zhaoqing police quickly set up a special task force and found out the flow of the defrauded funds within four hours. According to the confession of the three suspects who were subsequently arrested, around April 20, another fugitive member of the gang hacked into Kang's QQ account. On April 28, the suspect sent a new account to Kang's QQ account in the identity of a purchasing manager of a Dongguan company, falsely claiming that the company's account had changed, causing Kang to be deceived and transfer 7.09 million yuan to the suspect's account.

After the suspect was arrested, the police found a large number of items involved in the case on him and in his residence, including 81 bank cards, POS machines, readers, routers, mobile phone card readers, other people's ID cards, etc. Currently, the other members of the case are still being hunted down.
