Since March, Apple's recruitment website has added a lot of battery-related job openings. Apple wants to add new members to the battery technology team with the goal of improving the battery life of iOS devices.

Last month, nine job postings were directly related to battery technology. Some of the positions include hardware manager, firmware development manager, battery packaging engineering manager, battery engineer and electrical engineer.

While some of the positions may be related to the new batteries in the new MacBooks, others are more specific to iOS devices, including battery life software engineer, power analysis engineer, and software power systems engineer.

The recruitment information mentioned that these three employees need to be able to come up with innovative solutions to improve battery life and provide an excellent user experience.

According to rumors, Apple may release three new phones this fall, including the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, and iPhone 6c. Battery life has always been a major challenge in iOS device development. Last year, Apple increased the size of the device, but the battery life of the iPhone 6 was not much different from that of the iPhone 5s. However, the battery life of the iPhone 6 Plus is good, and it can last more than a day under normal use.

Future iPhones may use larger memory, be equipped with faster processors or be equipped with better cameras, all of which consume more power and therefore require better battery technology.
