Memory: Android’s eternal pain!

Over the years, Samsung's smartphones have been stuffed with all kinds of pre-installed software and tools, regardless of whether you need them or not. Coupled with the richness of the TouchWiz system itself, the result is that the entire phone becomes slower and slower as you use it, which is unbearable.

Samsung also realized this problem and began to make drastic reforms on the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, especially removing most unnecessary pre-installed applications, so that the entire system can be lightened.

However, after a few weeks of joy, users will find out helplessly that the memory management of S6 and S6 Edge does not seem to be very good and they will still be slow, especially when switching between applications.

In fact, this is not a memory leak problem of the Android 5.x system itself, but Samsung's aggressive background memory management. Once you switch to another application, Samsung will clear the previous application from the memory within a few seconds.

An extreme example is that the Chrome browser cannot stay resident. If you open a single reference and then switch back, the webpage must be reloaded (Chrome itself has some problems). This is obviously unnecessary.

Some media speculated that Samsung's original intention was to clear and release memory in a timely manner, but in order to catch up with the timely launch of S6 and S6 Edge, or due to omissions, the optimization work in this regard was not 100%. The situation should gradually improve in the future.

In any case, the need for large memory for Android phones seems to be an unavoidable flaw.
