iPhone 6 Plus exploded using iPad charger!

Although the iPhone can theoretically use an iPad charger, and Apple allows this (without too much safety risk), there are still reports of problems with iPhones using iPad chargers, such as the one below.

According to Hong Kong media reports, a Hong Kong woman surnamed Zeng was using an iPad charger to charge her iPhone 6 Plus when an explosion and fire occurred, and both the body and the protective case were burned.

Ms. Zeng said that she bought this iPhone 6 Plus from a carrier in November last year under contract, and it was a 128GB gold version. Moreover, the iPad charger she used was not a knockoff product, but an original one.

Ms. Zeng plans to take this iPhone 6 Plus to Apple to ask for an explanation, but Apple has not yet responded.
