Microsoft shows off new pressure-sensitive touch technology that's better than Apple's

Apple introduced Force Touch technology for the first time in Apple Watch, which enables the touch screen to not only recognize clicks but also pressure, thereby providing feedback. It is said that this technology will also be used in the upcoming iPhone 6S.

Microsoft, also a giant that is good at innovation, recently disclosed a patent application of its own - multi-touch pressure-sensitive HID input technology.

The patent was drafted by Microsoft Beijing. Specifically, the device can report pressure information and touch input information of all fingers at the same time. Microsoft also demonstrated a variety of applicable devices, including Surface Touch Cover, tablets, etc.

In addition, Microsoft also emphasized that the technology is more cost-effective than Apple's Force Touch and is more conducive to large-scale promotion.
