Microsoft officially announced today that Windows 10 Anniversary Update will be officially released on August 2, and existing Windows 10 users can upgrade for free. This will be the largest update since the release of Windows 10 a year ago, including many new breakthrough features, making Windows Ink and Cortana mainstream applications; a faster, more convenient and more efficient Edge browser; advanced security features for consumers and enterprises; a new gaming experience; new tools for modern classrooms; new security features for enterprise customers, and more. Specifically, there are the following aspects: 1. More security features make Windows the most secure Windows Windows Hello improvements support enterprise-level secure login without a password, and you can also visit websites that support biometric technology through the Edge browser. Edge is the first and only browser that natively supports biometrics. Windows Defender anti-malware features have been improved, and you can choose to automatically scan the PC quickly and regularly, or provide notifications and summaries when the scan is completed and threats are found. Two new security features for enterprise customers are added. Ink Writing A new experience that brings the power of Windows to the tip of the pen, allowing people to write on devices just like writing on paper, and fully integrated with Office, Edge, Maps and other applications. 3. Improvements to Microsoft Cortana Cortana, the world's most efficient and outstanding personal intelligent assistant, has been further improved. It can be used in the lock screen state, and has more ways to record, save and recall information, and supports cross-device synchronization. 4. Improvements to Edge energy efficiency, scalability and convenience Edge browser is more energy-efficient, with lower CPU usage, less memory consumption, and less impact from background activities and peripheral content (such as Flash ads). The extension function has finally arrived and will be sold in the Windows App Store.
