Tesla official: Shanghai Super Factory's annual delivery volume will exceed 916,000 vehicles in 2024

In the past year of 2024, the Shanghai Super Factory rolled off the 3 millionth vehicle and exported the 1 millionth vehicle to overseas markets. The annual delivery volume exceeded 916,000 vehicles, accounting for half of Tesla's global deliveries.

It is reported that Tesla currently has a total of four vehicle factories around the world, namely the Fremont Factory in California, the Austin Gigafactory in Texas, the Berlin Gigafactory in Germany, and the Shanghai Tesla Gigafactory.

The Shanghai Super Factory is the backbone of production capacity among these factories, not only meeting domestic demand in China but also exporting on a large scale to overseas markets.

This is also related to the production cost of the Shanghai Super Factory. Musk once said that the models produced by Tesla's Shanghai Super Factory are of the best quality, with the lowest cost and less trouble.

In addition, with the great success of Tesla's Shanghai Super Vehicle Factory's investment and operation, Tesla has also increased its efforts to establish a production capacity base in Shanghai.

At present, Tesla's Shanghai Energy Storage Super Factory has completed construction. It took only 7 months from the start of construction in May to completion, and the progress was rapid.

According to Tesla's plan, the factory is expected to start mass production early next year, with an annual output of 10,000 commercial energy storage batteries Megapack, with an energy storage capacity of nearly 40GWh. After the factory is put into production, it will rapidly advance Tesla's progress in deploying an energy storage network in China.
