OpenAI: OpenAI's annual revenue is expected to triple to $12.7 billion by 2025

Driven by the strength of its paid AI software, OpenAI expects revenue to more than triple this year to $12.7 billion from $3.7 billion last year, and expects revenue to continue to grow rapidly, more than doubling next year to $29.4 billion.

More than two years after OpenAI launched ChatGPT, the company has launched a range of subscription services for consumers and businesses. Last September, OpenAI said that the corporate version of ChatGPT had reached 1 million paying users.

Even as revenue soars, OpenAI is facing huge costs for the chips, data centers and talent needed to develop cutting-edge artificial intelligence systems. People familiar with the matter said OpenAI does not expect to be cash flow positive until 2029, when it expects revenue to exceed $125 billion.
