When the prices of 65-inch TVs from some well-known Internet brands have dropped to 3,000 yuan, LeTV's newly launched G65 Pro has been priced at a high price of 4,000 yuan. If you only judge by the price, you might say LeEco is floating. But after you fully experience it, you may change your mind. In this era where low prices are the key to sales, LeEco bravely expressed its attitude with its products. Yes, as LeTV's first quantum dot 3.0 super TV, the G65 Pro is just as its name suggests, with a 65-inch screen and a screen ratio of up to 97%. It is equipped with the Mstar 6A848 flagship chip, 3GB of memory and 32GB of storage. So, is the performance and user experience of such a LeTV TV that "brazenly" crosses the 4,000 yuan threshold worth the price? Let’s start with the first impression. Full screen with metal frame As a new generation product, G65 Pro adopts the popular full-screen design. The screen is wrapped in a circle of ultra-thin metal. Because of the seamless bending process, there is almost no gap in the frame. The integrated metal frame not only looks solid, but also greatly improves the overall stability and safety. The clouded leopard-shaped silver base sets off the black metal body, making the overall design of the G65 Pro minimalist. At first glance, it has a Bauhaus-style postmodern high-end feel without a trace of unnecessary elements, and it can blend into the environment when placed against any light-colored background. Right below the logo is the only hardware switch and indicator light for the entire product. The indicator light is red when powered on, and turns blue after booting up. Because the entire module is hidden under the panel, it will not appear in your vision unless you look down at it. Even if you watch it alone at night, this blue light will not interfere with your vision. There are various interfaces on the back of the body, which are divided into two large blocks, one on the left and one at the bottom. From top to bottom on the side are RF IN, HDMI ARC, HDMI 2 and wired network port; from left to right on the bottom are audio output, video input, USB2.0 and USB3.0. It should be pointed out that the interface design is the most incomprehensible part of the whole experience. The most commonly used USB is designed at the bottom. Because of the height of the base, it is very difficult to plug and unplug. Moreover, you can't see where the USB port is at all. You have to touch it by hand, which is time-consuming and labor-intensive. If you use force on your wrist, you may get hurt or even overturn the TV. So when plugging and unplugging, we had to use a makeup mirror to use the principle of mirror reflection to plug and unplug. In addition to complaining about the USB port, the remote control is the "culprit" that lowers the overall image of this TV. Although the remote control is good enough for the TV, I have to say that LeTV has simplified it a bit too much. The entire remote control feels cheap due to its weight and material, and the plastic feel of the buttons also makes the feedback very poor. After pressing them, I always feel uneasy that it will break. However, for a TV, picture quality is the most important thing. A feast of colors As LeTV's first TV equipped with quantum dot 3.0 technology, the G65 Pro is not inferior to OLED screens in terms of color gamut. A higher color gamut means that the screen can display more colors, reduce color pollution, make the transition of color levels softer and smoother, and make the picture more layered. In addition, the G65 Pro also adds the "Pure Blue" technology to protect the eyes. By adjusting the peak value of the main wavelength of blue light of the backlight LED, it shifts from the normal 447.5~450nm to between 457.5~460nm, reducing the damage of short-wavelength blue light to the eyes and alleviating eye fatigue when watching TV for a long time. But technology is technology, and the final look and feel is what matters most. And in this regard, the G65 Pro did not disappoint. Open the 4K HDR test video, the picture is clear, almost no noise, dark and bright details are clearly visible, so that the smallest details are also clearly discernible. Overall, the G65 Pro's picture feels very refreshing, the colors are full and uniform, the screen brightness is sufficient, and it has enough expressiveness even in the backlight. From the test samples taken, we can see that the G65 Pro performs very well in terms of light and dark. It is bright when it should be bright, dark when it should be dark, with a full sense of layering. Even in the reflective state, the color details of the characters' clothes are clearly layered and the transition is natural. Another important point for viewing experience is color. The main reason why quantum dot 3.0 can be comparable to OLED is that it has a wider color gamut. This means that more colors can be displayed on the screen, and different colors can be restored more realistically and accurately. Even in the case of the same color but different brightness, they can still be accurately distinguished. The large area of red bricks and tiles in the picture has clear texture and distinct light and dark, making the whole composition look very uneven and more natural and realistic. This result is not unexpected. After all, combined with Quantum Dot 3.0 technology, the high level of visual experience is very convincing. In addition to the wide color gamut provided by quantum dots, the G65 Pro also has a motion compensation function, which can reduce the appearance of ghosting when playing high-speed sports scenes, increase the smoothness of the picture, and further enhance the viewing experience. Open the 4K TV resolution test chart, the text can be clearly identified, the boundaries of the lines are also clear, and the details of the color blocks and chessboard below are not blurred. From the perspective of resolution expression alone, the G65 Pro has indeed achieved the "meticulous" 4K. Next, the G65 Pro also performs very well in restoring the tonal levels of the bright and dark parts. You can vaguely see the bright level of 253 and the dark level of 8. From this, the 21-level grayscale distribution also clearly shows the levels, and the gradient below is also very natural. In general, the performance of the G65 Pro screen did not disappoint, the colors were bright enough, and the details were restored without any complaints. Plus the large size of 65 inches, it can be said that it is worth the price of 4,000 yuan. Familiar built-in system For daily home use, online content viewing occupies a major position, but not all content can have 4K HDR high-definition images. Fortunately, the G65 Pro has built-in many commonly used content platforms, such as Mango, Wasu, Tencent, etc., and mainstream content can be watched directly. At the same time, the G65 Pro is equipped with the EUI8.0 system developed based on Android 6.0, which allows you to freely install third-party content sources. So if you love to play and are familiar with the Internet, you will not have to worry about not finding high-quality resources. In terms of settings, the G65 Pro also provides a wealth of options. In addition to the preset scenes on the image, users can also adjust the backlight, brightness, contrast and other properties themselves to better cope with different lighting environments and usage scenarios. In terms of sound, the G65 Pro doesn't offer too many options, but it basically has everything you need. Dolby Night Mode can reduce the volume peak, which is useful when you don't want to disturb others when watching TV at night, while the wall-mounted sound effect makes the sound more surround and can improve the sound quality when the TV is wall-mounted. Other basic settings such as smoothness and ratio when watching programs are naturally indispensable. In addition to these necessary conventional contents, just as its appearance is simple and direct, the G65 Pro also takes a concise route of comprehensive coverage in terms of the system, which is enough to meet daily needs without making too many unnecessary extensions. Summarize: If we were to make a simple analogy for the overall impression of LeTV's super TV, it would be like a classmate who sat in the middle seat during school. You can't remember any specific things about him/her, but you only remember that he/she was a three-good student. G65 Pro has reached excellent standards in terms of appearance, built-in and technology. It is a TV that meets expectations in all aspects, but at the same time makes you feel that it lacks some passion. There is no eye-catching new design, nor any unique small programs for you to play. Everything seems very plain. But who says that plainness is not true? It is worth mentioning that its quantum dot 3.0 technology has brought a huge improvement to the visual experience of the entire user. For some people who don't have many requirements and just want to buy a solid and easy-to-use TV, LeTV G65 Pro is a good choice. You don't need to bother to understand any new concepts, nor do you need to consider whether a new technology is useful to you. Just know that this is a very pure TV product. Put it in the living room, it has both appearance and substance, and that's enough.
