Google releases Android 5.1 with device protection features

March 10 news, according to foreign media reports, Google officially released the Android 5.1 operating system today, and the new system added a device protection function.

There were previous reports that Android 5.1 would first land on several low-priced Android One devices released by Google in Indonesia, but today Google announced that Android 5.1 will be officially released to all compatible devices in the world.

The Android 5.1 update did not bring earth-shaking changes, but there are still some noteworthy new features, such as support for multi-SIM devices. In addition, a feature called "Device Protection" appeared in the Android 5.1 system. If a user loses his/her Android device, the device will be locked until you log in with the corresponding Google certificate. Even if you restore the device to factory settings, the lock cannot be accessed. Google said that most Android phones and tablets will support this feature after upgrading to Android 5.1.
