Domestic Lexus is included in the plan. FAW Toyota: It will take about ten years

As one of the very few luxury brands that insists on not being produced domestically, Lexus has maintained strong sales in recent years and has a very high degree of recognition among consumers. At the same time, there are no voices hoping that it will be produced domestically, and all kinds of rumors are heard everywhere.

However, recently there was official news on this aspect on the official WeChat public account of China FAW. FAW said that the future with Toyota is "worth looking forward to" and plans to "take about ten years and three steps to advance towards the goal of 1.5 million vehicles":

The first step is to launch four new models including the C-HR and six new energy models to consolidate the business base of 800,000 vehicles;

The second step is to strengthen the B-class car product layout, introduce B-class SUVs and MPVs, and achieve the sales target of 1 million vehicles by 2023;

The third step is to introduce the Lexus luxury brand.

The previous reports of Lexus' domestic production have rarely received official confirmation. The current official news from FAW can be said to have given reassurance to consumers who are looking forward to Lexus' domestic production. However, based on the "three-step" plan, it is expected to take some time for the product to be truly launched in the market.
