On the morning of May 22, Google I/O conference will be held next week, and Google may release the next generation Android M operating system at this conference. *** According to the news, Android M system will natively support fingerprint authentication.

According to Ars Technica, a US technology media, Android M will have native fingerprint recognition authentication. Although many Android devices have been equipped with fingerprint recognition technology before, the software is developed by each manufacturer. If Android adds system-level fingerprint authentication support, device manufacturers will be able to more easily add fingerprint recognition technology to new mobile phones.

According to the disassembly, the Google Nexus 6 released last year was originally planned to be equipped with a fingerprint recognition sensor, but unfortunately Google finally decided to cancel the plan. Now, if the rumors about Android M are true, the new generation of Nexus to be released in the second half of this year will finally support fingerprint recognition technology.

Before Android 5.0 was named Lollipop, the preview version was called Android L, which means that after Android M is officially released, it will eventually be named after a dessert. The 2015 Google I/O conference will kick off on May 28, and we will be able to learn more about the next generation of Android at that time.
