Microsoft & Cocos Hackathon successfully concluded, Windows Game Competition upgraded

On May 17, the "Play Cocos, Enjoy Windows" game development hackathon was a complete success in the Microsoft Building in Wangjing, Beijing, and the excitement of the Windows game competition was upgraded again.

This hackathon was jointly organized by Microsoft and Cocos. Technical experts from Microsoft and Cocos, including Mei Yingguang, Li Liang, Xu Yutao, Liang Jian, Zhang Xiaolong, and Yang Xiao, supervised the event on site and provided super luxurious technical guidance "packages" to the participating developers.

According to Liang Jian, in addition to providing users with more innovative experiences, Windows 10 also provides developers with a series of development conveniences to create a free and open Windows platform. In Windows 10, a new button adaptive function has been added, and the new web browser MS Edge has also added the function of real-time update of JS renderer, realizing full support for H5. At the same time, there are cool designs such as voice assistant Cortana that can be called within the App, and Continuum that can realize the simultaneous expansion of Phone, Pad, and PC multi-terminal devices, which bring developers more dimensions of innovative thinking.

The 7 participating individual developers and 12 development teams have been highly focused for more than 10 hours in the process of continuous coding and debugging. Each team also has small discussions from time to time and actively runs in with the newly completed programs. The 12-hour hackathon has brought a lot of gains to the participants. Among them, three excellent works have conquered the technical experts from Microsoft and Cocos and won generous prizes.

A large team of 21 developers from Beijing Zhifeng Technology participated in this hackathon. This powerful team includes both veteran developers with 2 years of experience in using Cocos and novices who have just been exposed to Cocos for a few months. However, this did not affect the close cooperation within their team. Several programmers in the team who were fully focused on coding also became a beautiful landscape on the field.

After several hours of hard work, many excellent works appeared frequently in the tense and exciting acceptance and selection process, and the eyes of technical experts were bright and bright. Finally, after unanimous selection by experts, "Our Adventure Island" from the Geek Academy Magic Zoo team, "Guess the Question" from the Fun Game team, and "Mirror" from the Easy Travel Technology team became the outstanding works of this session and won generous prizes. These games are both original and transplanted, and they have conquered the judges in terms of complexity, technical implementation, playability, and exquisite graphics.
