Apple launches Android migration app, leaving no room for Android

Beijing time, September 17th morning news, Apple launched its first Android application on Wednesday, but its purpose is to snatch Android users and help them migrate to the iOS platform.

The app, called Move to iOS, states in its description: "In just a few easy steps, the Move to iOS app automatically and securely migrates your content from your Android device. There's no need to save your content somewhere else before migrating. Move to iOS securely transfers it all for you." The app covers a wide range of content, including contacts, calendars, email accounts, text message history and photos.

The service doesn't rely on the cloud, but uses a very clever way to move everything from an Android phone to an iPhone. The iPhone automatically sets up a private Wi-Fi network, asks the user for a security code, and then puts all the data "in the right place." Move to iOS is launched ahead of the launch of the latest generation of iPhones, which will be officially available on September 25.

The software is also compatible with previous iPhone models, but as for Android, it must be running Android 4.0 or higher.
