Speed! How to keep 15GB of OneDrive space before 3pm

Last November, Microsoft announced that it would reduce OneDrive's free storage space from 15GB to 5GB and cancel the 15GB extra camera roll space. But it was strongly resisted, and Microsoft also provided a plan to allow users to keep 15GB of free storage space plus 15GB of camera roll space. But to achieve this goal, users need to make a special statement, and January 31 is the last day to ensure that their free space is not lost.

That is to say, after January 31, users' free storage space will be reduced from 15GB to 5GB.

But it's already February 1st, isn't it too late?

OneDrive users don't need to worry. According to user feedback, the link is still valid. Relevant sources revealed that it is still valid if clicked before 3 p.m. Beijing time on the 1st.

The adjustment of free OneDrive space is part of Microsoft's overall adjustment plan for cloud storage packages. In addition to reducing free storage space, Microsoft will stop providing 1TB space for Office 365 Home users and replace it with 1TB space. At the same time, it will terminate the 100GB and 200GB OneDrive paid packages and launch a new 50GB package - priced at $1.99 per month.

Although free users have temporarily retained their cloud space, Microsoft has not provided similar channels for other OneDrive paying users.
