Apple Watch has a new bug that restarts when you ask Siri about the weather

According to foreign media reports, Apple Watch has recently been exposed to a strange bug. Whenever a user asks Siri about the weather, a problem occurs. When a user asks Siri "What is the temperature today?" or "What's the weather like?" or "Is it raining?", the Apple Watch will crash directly.

At present, this problem has been confirmed by multiple users on the macRumors forum and Reddit forum, and some users have indeed encountered this problem.

The issue seems to have started this morning, and the devices that have been confirmed to have this vulnerability include the LTE version of the Apple Watch Series 3 and the older Apple Watch running the watchOS 4.1 system. Of course, not all users in all countries have this problem, and it seems to be limited to users in the United States, Canada, and Europe.

It's unclear what's causing the issue, but the Apple Watch's Weather app itself is perfectly fine, and restarting and resetting the Apple Watch doesn't fix the problem.

User SRLMJ23 from MacRumors said that when he asked Siri about the weather, it crashed, but this was not the case for all versions of the watchOS system. The various bugs had just appeared. There was no such problem when he asked about the weather before, but since this morning, as long as he asked questions like "Today's weather forecast" or "What's the current temperature", the Apple Watch would restart. This user is using the latest LTE version of the Apple Watch Series 3.

Strangely, if you ask Siri about tomorrow's or future weather, the system will not crash, but only restart when you ask about today's weather. As one Reddit user analyzed, this may be related to the time change. Daylight saving time in the United States and Canada will end on November 5.

"Yes, it's a time-related issue. If I ask for the weather in Saskatchewan, it works fine. But if I ask for the weather in Manitoba, the system crashes. The two provinces are not in the same time zone, so if you ask for a city where the time changes within 24 hours, it can cause the system to reboot."

We believe that Apple will solve this problem through an update soon, but for now, it is better for Apple Watch users to use Siri to ask about the weather.
