Apple has built-in "Find" app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Through this app, users can not only quickly locate different devices, but also share the location with family and friends. In addition, the iOS native map application also supports "Shared Arrival Time", which makes it convenient for users to share locations, routes, and destinations with anyone in the address book list. Recently, Amap has also launched a similar "Family Map" function, which also focuses on location sharing. After turning on this function, other Amap users can be invited to join. Users on the same "Family Map" can obtain the location of their family members in real time and accurately record the family members' movements in the past 72 hours. "Family Map" is now available on Amap. Users can start a trial in "More Tools > Family Map". When using this feature for the first time, you need to enter the family password created by relatives and friends or create a family map. If you choose the latter, a password will be generated. Family members can enter the changed password in the family map to join the current family (up to 12 people). According to AutoNavi, in addition to sharing the location of family members and obtaining their real-time locations, the "Family Map" can also set "Friends and Family Location Reminders" for family members. Location reminders can be set within a radius of 150 meters to 2 kilometers from a certain geographic location. Family members will receive message reminders when they arrive at or leave the safe radius. The "Family Map" has sparked some controversy since its launch. Some people believe that this feature will infringe on personal privacy and even become a "new way for couples to check on each other." In response, AutoNavi Maps explained that when using the "Family Map" service, users need to enable location permissions, background auto-start, and power optimization permissions before they can use the service. Enabling these permissions is necessary to provide the service. In other words, if the user does not actively enable these features, even family members cannot obtain their location information. In addition, users who join the Family Map can also choose not to share their location. What do you think of this feature? Will you use it? |
