Sensor Tower, a mobile application data analysis platform, recently released the global non-game app download rankings for July this year. The list shows that TikTok ranks first in the global total app downloads, followed by Facebook, ZOOM, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, Google Meet, Snack Video, Likee, and Telegram; and in the Apple app download list, Pinduoduo ranks 9th in terms of downloads, making it the only Chinese app on the list and the most downloaded app by Chinese Apple phone users. Although TikTok is currently in trouble, its data growth is unstoppable. In July this year, TikTok ranked first in the download list in both Apple and Google App Stores. Sensor Tower's global APP list for the first half of the year also showed that Douyin and its overseas version TikTok had 626 million downloads, ranking first in the world; and generated $421 million in revenue in the Apple and Google systems, ranking third in the world. In the Apple App Store alone, TikTok has been the most downloaded non-game app for five consecutive quarters. TikTok was launched globally in the summer of 2017 and currently covers more than 150 countries and regions, including Japan, the United States, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Germany, France and Russia. In countries such as Japan and Indonesia, the app has also been listed on the "Featured List" and "Best App List" many times. In addition, Pinduoduo, as an application serving Chinese users and the transformation of China's industrial belt, has ranked among the top ten global Apple lists in the fierce competition in the global market. Industry insiders analyzed that this also fully demonstrated the depth and breadth of the Chinese market. In the first quarter of this year, Pinduoduo helped Chinese manufacturing companies "from online to offline" and "from foreign trade to domestic sales", directly driving related transaction volume of more than 5.89 billion yuan, and more than 113,000 new foreign trade-to-domestic sales companies settled in, and the cumulative number of orders for industrial belt products exceeded 30 million. The rise of new consumer groups, including young users, is an important opportunity for China's Internet industry to help boost domestic demand. Statistics show that among all e-commerce platforms, Pinduoduo is the only comprehensive e-commerce platform where the growth rate of the new youth group exceeds the overall growth rate. Since the beginning of this year, Pinduoduo has continued to increase its "10 billion subsidies" and maintain the "lowest price for the same product" strategy, successfully helping users achieve "cost-effective upgrades" - allowing first- and second-tier users to enjoy "brand freedom" and allowing users in the sinking market to enjoy "consumption upgrades." |
