Apple releases iOS 14.1 and iPadOS 14.1 with multiple bug fixes

Apple today released iOS and iPadOS 14.1, the first major update to the iOS and iPadOS 14 operating system updates released in September, which came a week after Apple released a GM version update to developers. The iOS 14.1 update is available as a free download and can be downloaded wirelessly in the Settings app for all eligible devices. To access the new software, go to Settings > General > Software Update.

According to Apple's release notes, iOS 14.1 introduces several bug fixes. It resolves a major issue that caused some emails to be sent from the wrong alias. It also fixes an issue that could cause widgets and icons to display at the wrong size, in addition to resolving a bug in the Calculator app that could prevent the result 0 from appearing.

The update also adds support for 10-bit HDR video playback and editing in Photos on iPhone 8 and later, and improves compatibility with Ubiquiti wireless access points.
