WeChat PC beta version updated: can watch and initiate video live broadcasts, new live broadcast tools

On February 15, the WeChat PC beta version was updated to version 3.2.1.

It is reported that this update is mainly centered around video accounts - users can watch video accounts shared in chats, and add a live broadcast function for video accounts, allowing users to initiate WeChat live broadcasts on PCs, while providing more professional tools. The live broadcast function not only supports computer screens, but also supports live broadcasts with Apple and Android phones as content sources, supports fast switching of multiple screens, and microphone noise reduction.

The size of the beta version installation package is about 127MB. After successful installation, a red dot will appear on the menu button in the lower left corner of the main interface. Click it to see the entrance to the "Video Account Live Broadcast" function.

To enable the live broadcast function of the video account, you need to download the plug-in separately, which will be automatically installed after clicking.

The live broadcast tool provided by WeChat PC supports multiple screen input options. Click the "+" button to add. The added screen source will appear in the list. Users can quickly click to switch the screen source during the live broadcast.

For mobile phone screen sources, the beta version of WeChat live broadcast tool provides three options: Apple phones support wireless and wired connections, and Android phones only support wireless connections.

The "..." menu in the upper right corner of the live broadcast tool provides an entry to turn off gift sending. You can adjust the sound and picture settings more deeply through "Settings". The tool currently provides two live broadcast screen sizes: 1920×1080 and 1440×1080, and supports microphone noise reduction.
