Although domestic Android users rarely come into contact with the native Android system, what kind of functions the new version will bring actually has an inspiring and leading role in the improvement direction and functional innovation of downstream third-party customized ROMs.

Recently, Google officially pushed the second developer preview of Android 12, bringing many improvements in UI and functionality.

First of all, the most obvious change should be the lock screen interface and the music player in the pull-down notification bar. Previously, the color scheme of this part of the UI has always used the main color of the music album, but on Android 12, this color scheme has become the system's accent color.

Regarding the system's accent color, many media have previously speculated that it may be related to Android 12's upcoming theme system, that is, in the next version, the system accent color may be changed by the user, and even follow the wallpaper changes.

In addition, in the new version of the UI, Google has once again lowered the contrast of the night mode. Now the background of the night mode has been changed to a lighter gray. Google believes that such a color can also reduce the power consumption of OLED, but the actual situation depends on the performance of the subsequent stable version.

The main update to the function is the new picture-in-picture function. Now this small video window can be enlarged or reduced at will according to the user's needs, or it can be dragged to the corner and hidden.

In addition, the native Android game mode has also taken shape. Although it currently only has simple functions such as frame rate display and do not disturb mode, the fact that Android officials have started to develop a game mode is also a good start.

In addition, this Android 12 developer preview also made other UI and small functional improvements, but since it is still in a very early preview version, it is not yet known whether Google will retain these designs in the future.

However, judging from the current news, Google will most likely stick to it, at least in terms of system themes. This may not be particularly new to domestic users, but it is still worth looking forward to what new ways Google will play with system themes.
