[[431039]] On October 26, according to contributions from many IT Home netizens, Apple’s official version of iOS/iPadOS 15.1 was released (internal version number: 19B74). This is the first major update to the iOS 15 operating system released in September 2021, and it was released one month after the release of iOS 15.
The official version of iOS 15.1 has the following updates: Simulcast sharing:- Simulcast Sharing is a new way to share synchronized experiences in a FaceTime call from the Apple Video app, Apple Music, and other supported apps from the App Store.
- Shared control lets everyone pause, play, rewind or fast forward.
- Smart Volume automatically lowers the audio volume of a movie, TV show, or song when a friend is talking.
- Apple TV supports the option to continue a FaceTime call on your iPhone while watching a shared video on the big screen.
- Screen sharing lets everyone on a FaceTime call view photos, browse the web, or provide assistance to each other.
camera- You can shoot ProRes video with iPhone 13Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.
- Added a setting to turn off automatic lens switching when taking macro photos and videos on iPhone 13Pro and iPhone 13Pro Max.
Apple Wallet- Support for COVID-19 vaccination cards, which allows you to add and present verifiable vaccination information from Apple Wallet.
translate- The Translate app and system-wide translation support Mandarin Chinese (Taiwanese).
family- New automations can be triggered based on current readings from HomeKit-enabled humidity, air quality, or light level sensors.
Shortcuts- New preset actions let you overlay text on an image or GIF.
This update also fixes the following issues:- The Photos app might incorrectly report that storage is full when importing photos and videos.
- The Weather app might not display the current temperature for My Location and might incorrectly display the color of the animated background.
- Audio playback in apps may be paused when the screen is locked.
- Wallet might quit unexpectedly when using multiple credentials with VoiceOver.
- An available wireless LAN may not be detected.
- Updated the battery algorithm on iPhone 12 models to better estimate battery capacity over time.
