What's going on with Norway closing all schools? Why is Norway closing all its schools?

Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg confirmed that all schools and kindergartens in the country are closed and the state provides childcare for key personnel. The Norwegian Minister of Health said that in addition to closing all schools and kindergartens, cultural and sports activities will be banned, fitness centers will be closed, and businesses providing services such as hairdressing, skin care, massage, body care and tattoos will be closed. Service venues without food services are closed, and food services are not allowed to provide buffets. Other dining venues must be able to provide a distance of one meter between each diner. Anyone arriving from abroad will be quarantined.

The measure will take effect from March 12.
