Beware! Typhoon Mulan is approaching

The reporter learned from the Hainan Provincial Meteorological Bureau that the tropical depression in the South China Sea had developed into this year's seventh typhoon "Mulan" at 10:00 on the 9th.

The Central Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow typhoon warning at 06:00 on August 10:

The center of this year's seventh typhoon "Mulan" was located at 5 a.m. today (10th) about 220 kilometers southeast of Xuwen, Guangdong, with a maximum wind force of 9 (23 meters per second). It is expected that "Mulan" will land on the coast from Qionghai, Hainan to Maoming, Guangdong during the day today (8-10 levels, tropical storm level or severe tropical storm level).

The meteorological department predicts that "Mulan" will move towards the coast of Hainan and Guangdong at a speed of about 25 kilometers per hour, gradually increasing in speed and intensity, with the maximum intensity reaching tropical storm level, and will land on the coast from northeastern Hainan Island to western Guangdong from noon to evening on the 10th. From August 9 to 10, parts of southern Guangdong, western and northern Hainan Island will experience heavy to torrential rain, among which the coastal areas of southern Guangdong will experience heavy torrential rain.

Hainan Provincial Emergency Management Department issued typhoon risk prevention recommendations:

It is suggested to do a good job in epidemic prevention management and resettlement preparations for vehicles and personnel stranded at the docks, strengthen the allocation of epidemic prevention materials and market guarantee for daily necessities, and strictly control price gouging during typhoons;

Accelerate the implementation of "ships entering the port, people going ashore" and nucleic acid testing, prevent fishing boats from going out to sea in violation of regulations, speed up the completion of nucleic acid testing of fishermen in fishing ports, and strengthen safety management and epidemic prevention measures for fishing boats from other provinces or foreign countries entering the port to avoid the storm;

Strengthen safety inspections, promptly transfer people from dangerous areas to safe areas, and prepare for epidemic prevention and disaster relief at centralized resettlement sites in advance. If necessary, adjust nucleic acid testing points in flood-prone areas in a timely manner to ensure safety;

Timely adjust and improve local epidemic prevention and flood and wind prevention measures, and make preparations in advance to coordinate and ensure the passage of rescue teams.
