Is the frequent change in the App Store rankings caused by malicious manipulation or is there a problem with Apple's algorithm?

Although the App Store is updated every moment, there will basically not be any major changes. However, yesterday afternoon, December 3, the App Store free list changed frequently. Even some apps that had not been updated for a long time were changing their rankings every hour, and related keywords were also locked.

In response, the app developers whose App Store free list saw significant changes told Apple Software Park that they did not hire ranking manipulation companies to maliciously manipulate their product rankings. According to a senior product director in Beijing, some of the ranking-stuffing companies that have taken orders do not include these apps with frequently changing rankings in their business targets.

The developers did not take the initiative to do so, and the related ranking companies did not take any action? Then why did the rankings of the apps in the picture change so many times within a day? Considering that Apple recently launched the App Store "1 yuan discount" and banned various assistant apps, Apple Software Park believes that there are three possibilities:

First, the App Store China rankings may have been maliciously manipulated.

Secondly, Apple’s algorithm originally adjusted the rankings based on users’ keyword searches, and once blocked, these ranking rules would no longer be affected by keywords. From this point of view, it may also be affected by keyword locking.

Third, in order to crack down on ranking manipulation, Apple once again introduced new policies, which led to problems with the App Store ranking algorithm.

As for what is the truth behind the frequent changes in the App Store China rankings, I believe that in a few days, Apple will give a reasonable explanation.
