In many parts of China, in order to maintain the development of the ecological environment, many virgin forests still retain their original ecological appearance. Yunnan has many ancient deep forests, including two called Biluo Snow Mountain and Gaoligong Mountain. They not only preserve many precious plant species, but also many rare animals live and reproduce there. Among them, there is an animal known as the king of the forest, the eagle.

The eagle, even its name evokes a fierce aura. Whenever someone encounters it, it perches high in a tree, surveying its surroundings, its majestic presence deterring anyone from approaching. Also known as the bear eagle, it belongs to the raptor family and possesses formidable attack power. Its body can reach up to 84 centimeters in length, with a wingspan of approximately 175 centimeters. Its body is covered in various shades of brownish-gray feathers, and it possesses a distinctive feature not commonly found on male eagles: a crest. This crest varies in shape; some stand upright, while others droop backward.

This allows the eagle to easily pierce its prey's body with its talons or beak, maintaining a near-victorious position in combat. In the animal kingdom, the eagle's fighting prowess among birds is unparalleled. Even mammals are not necessarily its match. For example, an eagle can easily catch a juvenile giant panda at its feet, and it can also take down predators like raccoon dogs. Generally speaking, eagles pose little threat to mammals weighing less than 5 kilograms.
Besides Yunnan, eagles also inhabit Junzi Peak in Fujian.
Besides Yunnan, eagles also inhabit other parts of China, such as Junzifeng in Fujian. In this ecological reserve, people often witness eagles preying on birds and animals. Many eagles are very cautious; after catching their prey, they do not eat it immediately. Instead, they fly to a safe place and only attack after confirming that there are no enemies around. They will pluck all the bird's feathers before eating it, making for a very bloody scene.
There are five species of eagles in the world.
There are five species of eagles worldwide, and four of them are found in China alone. Besides Yunnan and Fujian, eagles are also found on Hainan Island and in South China. This abundance of eagles inhabiting China is thanks to its diverse ecosystem. Eagles generally live in high-altitude forests and have strict requirements regarding the types of trees they inhabit, typically preferring mixed forests and broad-leaved forests. They only migrate to lower-altitude forests during the winter.
