A Doberman Pinscher in the UK has given birth to 13 puppies, and its owner plans to sell 7 of them for £1,000 each (approximately RMB 9,500).
A couple in Suffolk, England, were overjoyed when their pet Doberman, Gina, was told by the veterinarian that she was only carrying six puppies during a check-up. However, she eventually gave birth to 13 puppies.
Last month, after the couple went out, Gina gave birth to three puppies at home. With her owner's help, she later gave birth to nine more. The owners went out with friends to celebrate the arrival of 12 Doberman puppies, and upon returning home, they discovered a 13th puppy had been born. Although exhausted, Gina was in "great spirits" and diligently nursed her puppies, displaying a very maternal demeanor.
All the puppies have survived and are now one month old. The owner plans to sell seven puppies and keep one as a pet. It is believed that giving birth to 13 puppies at once is very rare for dogs.
