According to foreign media reports, a German photographer recently captured amazing footage of a kingfisher catching fish at a lake near his home. The kingfisher, with its superb hunting skills, not only successfully caught dozens of small fish, but also had an unexpected bonus – an unlucky little frog.

An unlucky little frog was accidentally caught by a kingfisher and became its "meal".
According to reports, the beautiful kingfisher is a skilled fisherman. It usually dives into the water and uses its dagger-like beak to catch small fish, and can catch up to 50 small fish a day.
Of course, they sometimes have unexpected catches while fishing. A photographer once captured a kingfisher catching a small frog in a pond, which was an unexpected bonus for the kingfisher, so it didn't hesitate to make the frog its delicious dinner.
The photographer said that kingfishers love to hunt in the ponds here because it's like a "hot spring resort" with plenty of small freshwater fish and the water doesn't freeze even in the dead of winter.
