Based on the time period in which the users posted, we then counted the number of likes and reposts for this period as a reference, and finally obtained the following figure. This will give you a more accurate time period.

The difference in effect can be clearly seen in the time periods. 13:00 in the afternoon and 18:00 in the evening are the peak times for likes.

We cleaned the distribution curve of likes again among the 20,000 statistical data, and roughly got the data distribution. Most of the short videos have less than 700 likes, and the proportion of short videos with tens of thousands is not large. This is caused by the data of Douyin. According to the previous algorithm of Toutiao , the like rate and forwarding volume you received are calculated based on your first 1,000 recommendations. At this time, if your forwarding volume and like volume (ratio) are high, the next batch of traffic will be pushed to you.

So the first 1,000 likes are crucial.

After using the above tools to clean the data, the largest part is manual cleaning, which is done to obtain the labels of popular short videos. The purpose of referring to this data is to rely on this direction when making short videos in the future. There are probably several major types!

How to create a TikTok account
