Application Review FAQ

It is recommended to read the platform review rules before submitting the application to help improve the review.

Q1. When will the review be completed after the application is submitted? What does it mean when it says “Under Review”?

A: It usually takes 1-2 working days to complete the app review. "Under review" means that the content review is in progress, so please be patient.

Q2. If the audit fails, where can I view the audit results?

A: Notifications will be sent via platform messages and contact emails, please pay attention.

Q3. How to apply for cancellation of review?

A: Please contact the platform's online customer service to provide the application name, package name, and reason for cancellation. The customer service staff will provide you with feedback and complete the cancellation within the same day.

Q4. If the design process of an application contains special logic, how can it pass the review?

A: Please make sure to briefly describe the design operation process in the [Create App] - [Remarks] column without affecting user use; if necessary, you can provide a test account and the reason for using a test account.

Q5. If the application has requirements for the Android version system, how can it pass the review?

A: Please note the Android version system requirements and reasons in the [Create App] - [Remarks] column.

Q6. What should I do if my app is detected as a vest package/skin-changing product?

A: Please do not submit illegal products such as vest packages/skin-changing products. If you can prove that it is not a vest package, please add the computer software copyright registration certificate and other relevant ownership certificates in the Copyright Proof column, and add at least two other platforms' online screenshots of the app in the [Special Qualifications] column (temporarily only accepting Huawei, Xiaomi, OPPO, and Alibaba application distribution open platforms) and resubmit.

Q7. The audit result is: Lottery, football, World Cup and other related lottery purchases and information are not included?

A: Except for the official national sports lottery and welfare lottery products, such products are not currently included in the vivo open platform.

Q8. The company’s business scope is too different from the submitted application type and cannot pass the review?

A: The platform currently does not include applications whose business scope does not match the uploaded application content.

If you need to go online, you can add the computer software registration certificate in the [Copyright Proof] column, or add at least two other platforms' online screenshots of the app in the [Special Qualifications] column (temporarily only Huawei, Xiaomi, OPPO, and Alibaba application distribution open platforms are accepted), and the developer information must be consistent.

Q9. Will there be white edges on the uploaded rounded-corner icon after it is trimmed by the platform?

A: The [Upload ICON] column is only for uploading right-angle icons. If you upload icons with rounded corners, there will be white edges after the platform trims them, which will affect the appearance of the mobile phone display. Please make modifications strictly in accordance with the platform specifications. Please refer to the document Application Icon Upload Specification.

Q10. Audit failed due to inconsistent signatures?

A: In order to provide users with safer applications, the platform will not approve an application if it detects that the signature of a product with the same package name has changed. If there are special reasons, please download this template and send it to [email protected] according to the process to file an appeal. The platform will email you the appeal result within 2 working days.

Q11. There are some problematic applications on the vivo open platform that also do not meet the standards. Why can't our applications be put on the shelves?

A: The existence of similar online applications that do not meet existing standards is a historical problem. We are constantly optimizing the platform inclusion rules. However, due to the large number of existing applications, we have currently been gradually cleaning up the existing illegal applications. If you find any illegal products, please send an email to [email protected] to report them.

Q12. The app screenshots, app name, icon and content are inconsistent and it is rejected?

A: The product description, name, icon, screenshots, and categories must be consistent with the actual content or function of the app. If there is any inconsistency, it will be rejected.

Q13. What should I do if a virus is detected in the application?

A: For virus-related issues, we recommend that you contact your company's technical colleagues to verify the cause and resubmit after ensuring there is no virus information. If it is a false positive report by a third party, please contact the counterparty to delete the false positive information and ensure there is no virus report before resubmitting. We will retest for you.

Q14. The same product can be listed and approved on other platforms, but fails the review on the vivo open platform?

A: The review standards of each platform may vary. It is recommended that you refer to the vivo open platform [Application Review Standards] and modify the issues according to the review results.

Q15. If an app is removed from the shelves due to violations, do I need to appeal before it can be put back on the shelves?

A: If the platform receives a large number of user complaints and verifies them to be true, the complained products will be removed from the shelves. If you have any objections to this situation, please first rectify the app based on the current complaint, and provide an optimization plan to [email protected] to file a complaint. At the same time, relevant personnel will synchronize the user complaint content to your email.

Q16. Was the app name rejected because it contained plagiarized words or sensitive words?

A: Please name your app according to the platform specifications. If your app is suspected of plagiarism or contains sensitive words, it will not be approved.

Q17. Was the app details or screenshots rejected because they contained extreme words or false promises, which violated new advertising content?

A: App details and screenshots must not use extreme descriptors or false promises, or other content that violates new advertising rules.

Q18. If I find that there are counterfeit applications on the platform that infringe my rights, how can I protect my rights?

A: To protect the legitimate rights and interests of the right holder, please file a complaint in accordance with the [App Infringement Complaint Process].

Q19. H5 mini games are not included?

A: The platform does not currently include applications containing H5 mini games, but it can include social mini games or social mini game platforms, such as Kuaishou mini games. If you have any questions, please contact customer service for consultation.

Q20. Products in small languages ​​or minority languages ​​cannot pass the review?

A: The platform does not currently include products in languages ​​other than Chinese and English. If necessary, please supplement the promotion certification materials for small language products approved by relevant departments in the [Special Qualifications] column (such as: government-stamped documents or documents certified by relevant authoritative organizations).

Q21. What qualifications are required for dating and social networking placements?

A: ① "Value-added Telecommunications Business License" or "Telecommunications and Information Services Business License" (ICP License);

② "Computer Software Copyright Registration Certificate";

③ Business license (Note: If the business license clearly states that it is not allowed to engage in related business, the review will not be passed);

④vivo disclaimer letter.

Q22. The application review was rejected because the information registered on the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s ICP website did not match the application function type?

A: When special industry products are submitted for review, some of them need to submit the ICP website registration information of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and must ensure that it is consistent with the application type. For example, if the ICP website registration type of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology is shopping discounts, and the application function content is loan and financial management, the review will not pass.

Q23. The test review failed and the problem cannot be reproduced. What should I do?

A: ① Please open the test connection in the audit result and provide the log information or screen recording to the technical staff for problem definition;

② If you cannot locate the product problem, you can log in to the cloud testing platform and select the corresponding model for testing;

③If the above operations cannot be reproduced, please ask the technical staff to evaluate the possible problems and corresponding risks, explain the situation in the remarks column and resubmit.

Q24: The reason for rejection indicates that the qualifications are incomplete. What qualifications should be uploaded?

A: Your application will go through a content review after you apply for listing. If the qualification materials you upload meet the platform requirements, your application can be listed after passing the review. Please submit the corresponding qualifications when uploading your application.

② Marriage and dating and live show applications must upload the "Computer Software Copyright Registration Certificate";

③ If the business scope shown in the business license does not match the actual application, you can delete the business license and resubmit it (if the application involves human resources, please update the business license and resubmit it).

Q25. What should I do if the review is rejected because the app contains advertisements?

A: If your application is rejected due to advertising issues, please verify whether the following issues exist based on the audit result path:

①The ad has no close button;

② The advertisement contains illegal content such as gambling and pornography;

③ Clicking on the ad will lead you to the download or distribution portal;

④ The content of the advertisement is untrue and suspected of false propaganda;

⑤The app contains malicious advertising SDK code.

If any of the above situations occurs, there is a risk of rejection of listing.
